Missions conference
Good Samaritan Community Church will have a missions conference Sunday through March 11 after the evening services. Missionaries working in China, Nigeria, Uganda, Indonesia, Bolivia, Kyrgyzstan, Haiti and Ecuador will speak both Sundays at 9:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. and weekdays at 10 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. There will be no services on Saturday.
Tennis festival
Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Spring Tennis Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Oak Street Park Community Center, 717 N. Palm Ave.
The event includes tennis games, hitting wall, skills competitions, cardio tennis, and prizes for the entire family. There will also be local tennis professionals on hand to offer tips and answer questions.

The Kissimmee police and fire departments will have a Community Appreciation Day 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the police department. The events include demonstrations for the K-9 unit and SWAT.
TIPS Class
Kissimmee Police Department and City Beverages are offering a free Training for Intervention Procedures class for servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the police department. The New Day Cafe in St. Cloud is seeking large-format artwork in bright colors with positive subject matter for the opening of the restaurant in March. Hurricane aid
Kissimmee Development Services Department is accepting applications for repairs to owner-occupied single-family homes through March 16. Assistance is being provided to residents who live within Kissimmee city limits. Priority will be given to homeowners who had hurricane damage. Applications are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room 100 of Kissimmee City Hall.

Apply for art scholarship
A $3,500 art scholarship sponsored by the Celebration Spring Art Festival patrons is to be awarded at the annual Celebration Spring Art Festival on March 31 and April 1 from proceeds of the event.
The scholarship is for Osceola County high school seniors gifted in visual arts.
Students must submit required materials by March 16 to be eligible for this award.
The winner will be announced during the Art Festival patrons' gala at the Celebration Hotel on March 30.
