End of WVU Weight-Loss Program
WVU is dropping a medically supervised weight loss program for its employees because of increasing costs and staffing issues.

All 76 participants in the WVU School of Medicine's Health Management Resources program were notified by mail last month that the service will end by July 31.
Health Sciences spokeswoman Amy Johns says three employees recently left the program offered through University Health Associates, the clinical practice arm for medical school faculty. It also has lost about $45,000 in the past three years.
Johns says the program participants were given information about finding alternative weight-loss programs.
