Professors develop safe weight loss pill
The danger of a diet pill may soon be in the past, according to The South End.
Two professors from Wayne State University have developed a weight loss supplement that is an all-natural non-stimulant, opposite of competing weight loss pills.
Joseph Artiss, pathology professor, and Catherine Jen, WSU's Nutrition and Food Science Department chairwoman, formed the ArtJen Complexus Holding Corp. to market their new pill, Alpha-Fibe FBCx.
Artiss's intent when creating the pill was to treat Type 2 Diabetes, but what he discovered was a way to treat the growing problem of obesity.
Alpha-Fibe FBCx targets saturated and trans fats. It also stimulates the stomach to feel full sooner. Customers of this product have had positive results. Alpha-Fibe FBCx can be purchased over the counter and online.
