Renton weight loss center to close
Valley Medical Center in Renton has decided to close the Washington Bariatric & Weight Loss Center, citing business reasons.
The center will no longer take new patients but is working with current patients to refer them to other clinics in the region. It will provide post-surgical care to patients for at least the next couple of months and referrals as needed.
The medical center has decided to focus on core medical services, and the clinic's closure will not lead to layoffs, Valley spokeswoman Pamela Fowler said.
The hospital will contact patients about potential reimbursements and offer referrals to other providers.
